Bávaro, like Punta Cana, is located in the eastern part of the Dominican Republic. It is where the most famous beaches in our island lie, spacious and endless, with fine white sand, millions of coconut palms and a natural coral reef that runs along the entire coast with clear and calm waters. A UNESCO report recognizes the beaches of Bávaro as the best in the world. This area has an optimal hotel infrastructure and, up to now, has been the most visited by tourists from all over the world.  Higuey is the capital of this Dominican province (la Altagracia) and also the largest city in this area. The most precious treasure of this city is the majestic metropolitan basilica, Our Lady of Altagracia.


You can rely on the Punta Cana International Airport which is only 20 minutes away from most hotels and resorts in the area. If you need to travel, there are daily flights available with various destinations within the country as well as to most major international airports in the United States and Europe as well as companies of private taxis which offer 24 hour service.


There are facilities for all types of sports in the area, from sailing tours, the best golf courses in the Caribbean, windsurfing, snorkeling and diving, deep sea fishing, sailing and catamarans.  There are also several small surrounding islands in the area which can be explored by boat.


One of the most popular and entertaining attractions in the area is Manatí Park Bávaro. It features an area of 1,399,308 square feet. This extensive park has the animals as their main attraction.  There are fish exhibitions, chattering parrots and dolphins that perform with the children. At night, thoroughbred horses perform in a spectacular show very similar to the dancing horses of Jeréz de la Frontera in Spain and the Spanish Academy of Vienna.  There are attractive excursions to different destinations such as: Saona Island by catamaran or launches, Jeep Safari with 4X4, excursions to Santo Domingo, Catalina island VIP excursions, Samaná- Cayo Levantado, Altos de Chavon among many.
The area also has various discotheques such as Mangú, Pachá, Areito, to name a few, that enliven the evening celebrations for tourists and locals alike. 


In Bávaro there are an increasing number of small supermarkets, specialized businesses such as bakeries, butchers, pharmacies, computer stores, hardware stores, boutiques and others to cover all of life's daily necessities. You will also find impressive commercial shopping centers where you can find well known designer labels, jewels, French champagne and even the most exquisite furniture.

Medical Services:

Are provided through modern private clinics with local and foreign physicians, many of them located near to the Punta Cana International Airport. Health insurance can be obtained through large insurance companies in the Dominican Republic.


Education is a requirement, with more that 4 private schools.  Classes are taught in Spanish and English
